How much heat do the bulbs make?

With the use of LED filament technology, most of the heat is dissipated through the outer glass shell and air, and they produce a very small amount of heat. The 8W LED filament bulb will feel fairly warm to the touch, whereas the 4W will feel just slightly warm to the touch. The heat generated is just a small fraction of what a traditional incandescent bulb would create.

What does 40W, 60W, and 75W equivalent mean?

The actual energy use of our 40W equivalent LED filament bulb is just 4W, the reason it uses less energy is because the bulb puts out more lumens (brightness) per watt, approximately 100-110 lumens/watt. Traditional incandescent technology only does around 10-15 lumens/watt, making our bulbs a great deal more efficient. In real world tests we have found our LED filament bulbs to be as bright as or brighter than their equivalent incandescent counterparts.


All of our AriusTek LED filament bulbs come with a 5 year limited warranty, so should yours ever go out we have a simple no-hassle replacement procedure.

Enclosed Fixtures?

The LED filament bulbs are suitable for enclosed fixtures, however with the increased heat build up in some fixtures you may shorten the life of the bulb.

Outdoor Use?

As long as the bulb is kept away from direct contact with rain, snow and other outdoor hazards.


There are plans to have dimmable versions in the future of our LED filament bulbs, however the costs are still very high for this new LED filament technology. Fortunately the bulbs will always have the ability to turn on instantly with full brightness.
